It’s exciting, isn’t it?

It’s a little thrilling, yes? The idea of playing your own harp? Or if you already have a harp, how about the notion of playing it with comfort and confidence? You’re in the right place.

Let’s Start at the Very Beginning

If you are just getting started, I recommend that you watch my free “How to Get Started Playing Holistic Harp” video series. Then give me a call. I’ll chat with you about your dreams, and discuss the ins and outs of buying your first harp and finding the right teacher, either in your neighborhood or by Skype.

If You Study with Me, Here’s What’s Next…

If you decide that you’d like to work with me, we’ll set up usually 2-3 one-hour lessons. In these lessons we’ll talk about foundational things such as posture, hand position, and care and feeding of yourself and your instrument.

You’ll also learn a basic improv pattern, so that you will be making your own music by the end of your first lesson.

Over the Long-Term

Once you get through the basics, you’ll probably move to weekly 30-minute lessons. We’ll see each other every week (mostly), and I will gently guide you along in your studies.

What I Teach

I will show you various ways to connect with your own internal source of music, and to bring it out through your harp. I’ll teach you sample chord progressions, and the reasons why they work in certain situations. If you are interested in learning healing and holistic music, I will teach you the most common scales or modes that are used in healing music. I can also help you prepare for a healing harp program, if you are headed that way.

Custom, Personalized Lessons

Your lessons are always customized to your learning style, needs, and desires. I understand that you have a life outside of music, and that things happen. Once you decide to become a student, I’ll send you the basics of my payment policies, cancellation policies, etc.
